IFC Officers

  • Welcome,

I would like to first thank you for expressing interest in the Greek system here at Michigan State University. Since 1872, the fraternities here at MSU have developed the qualities of character, cooperation and scholastic achievement within all its members. We believe the fraternity to be a means whereby the best interest of the individual may be promoted. It is the prime obligation of the fraternity community to encourage the development of its membership into balanced men prepared to take on life’s challenges as society’s future leaders.

The Inter-fraternity Council of Michigan State University is the governing body over all fraternity chapters that hold a charter at Michigan State University. As the president of IFC, it is my duty to represent the counsel on numerous levels such as the Student Advisory group, the Joint Fraternity Expansion Committee, and all Alumni Groups. Furthermore, I personally ensure that all fraternity chapters and their members promote the dignity and welfare of all participating individuals.

The IFC has numerous positions held by current, undergraduate members of the fraternity system, including all 25 fraternity chapter presidents. The legislative body presiding over IFC is known as the Executive Board. This group consists of the IFC President, Vice Presidents for: Administration, Finance, Internal Relations, External Relations, Membership, Recruitment, Communication, and Records. These gentlemen are held accountable for all of their actions within the judicial limits in the IFC Risk Management and Judicial Policies. They are also responsible for establishing a Code of Ethics and List of Goals at the beginning of their term that will be implemented throughout all activities and events in which any fraternity participates in.

In short, IFC has taken on the responsibility of upholding all its members to a standard of conduct and behavior that proudly reflects the morals and virtue upon which the Greek community was founded. Furthermore, as a potential new member into our Greek community I will be more than happy to answer your questions in regards to committing yourself to the lifelong brotherhood that is the fraternity community. Thank you for your interest and congratulations on taking the first step to becoming a better man.

    Fraternally,

    Devin Cudnohufsky
